About Us

Where did our passion for Pitbulls come from?

Here is a little bit about our family…

Back in 2007 I came home (I live with my father, and his approval was necessary) with a Pitbull puppy that fit in the palm of my hand, he was about 3 weeks old. It was a beautiful fall day and my father was outside having lunch on the deck and without hesitation I placed the puppy on my fathers chest… his first reaction was “No…”

I knew I had to persuade him into this but this was step one ;) It was too soon to have the puppy leave his mother yet anyway. My father is one to do research on everything! He was like many others who judged the breed without getting to know it.  After intense research both via the internet and the library we added a new addition to the family. Naming our new fur-lative was the next step with ideas from Scoops to Rufus and my father decided to name is grand-pup Chako (ChaCo) but dad liked it with a "K" so that's the least we can do for him...lol

Chako brought our family together like never before, and with him we grew a deep love for pitbulls and bully breeds.

Late one night my father called me over to feel lumps in Chako’s throat, he didn’t seem to be himself… the next morning we rushed him to the vet. They took some tests and we had to wait for the results. I’ll never forget the call I received at work when the vet called to tell me Chako was diagnosed with Lymphoma (cancer) at the very young age of 3. My family and I were devastated. My father tried to do all he could to try to save our baby. After 19 weeks of intense chemotherapy for poor Chako he started having horrible seizures. We brought him to different vets, tried different meds but nothing seemed to work- Chako was suffering and you can see it in his face and body. We had to make a heartbreaking decision but it was horrible to see him in so much pain. We were only making him suffer so he could be here on the physical earth with us, our selfish wants. After numerous sleepless and teary eyed nights and another terrible episiode on April 7th 2011 we brought Chako to a local hospital and put him to rest. To this day it was one of the hardest things I had to deal with. For months our home was not the same- it wasn’t a home…

There aren't enough ways in the world to let my father know how much I deeply appreciate what he had done and continues to do for our family.

But now our home is a home to 2 loving, beautiful and playful Pitbulls, Tyson & Suede! We got custody of Tyson from my sister’s boyfriend who was moving to a place that didn’t allow dogs and we rescued Suede from our local shelter. With a full house of non-stop fun our home is a home again and we love having them around!
